Flashpacking and Travel

It’s the latest in backpacker trends. But what’s flashpacking, and the way can you flashpack successfully? Flashpackers are actually defined as those involved with their mid 20s to early 30s who still continue with the backpacker route and travel being a backpacker. Where they differ from the original budget globetrotter, however, is in their budget and their wish to have comfort and amenities when they’re travelling. Flashpackers expect better accommodation and still have more cash to shell out on food and also other comforts as they definitely move around the world.
Flashpackers remain loyal on the basic backpacker philosophy, like no fixed itineraries, that great culture of the place and ultizing cheap flights and hostel accommodation, but there are many items that set them aside from the conventional backpacker.
What is really bali retreats ?
– Extra money. Rather than saving the bare minimum to get by while travelling, flashpackers start their journeys with additional money so that they can afford to splurge on drinks, meals out, partying and tours. Flashpackers on Bali holidays, as an example, might be in hostels and often will spend their cash on nights out, nice meals and obtaining souvenirs.
– Technology. What really sets a flashpacker besides a backpacker is the electronic goods with which they travel. According to a Hostelworld study in 2006, 21 percent of individuals travel having a laptop, 54 percent by having an MP3 player, 83 percent which has a cellular phone and 86 percent travel having a digicam. These ‘flash’ items make it easier for travellers to stay associated with home, be comfortable, capture their memories and become entertained.
Many hostels now cater for the growing flashpacker market, who will be ready to buy slightly improved hostel facilities, for example private rooms and bathrooms. Student travel will always be about affordability, but this new wave of backpackers is evolving the scene slightly and adding a certain amount of glamour and comfort towards the conventional budget lifestyle and threadbare living of the regular backpacker.
